Training Program Materials for “Scaling Up Energy Efficiency for Energy Managers of Industrial Enterprises” under the “Vietnam Scaling Up Energy Efficiency Project”.

The training program consists of twenty modules as follows:

Module 1. Introduction to the VSUEE project
Module 2. Introduction to policies related to energy efficiency and conservation in Vietnam; Legal requirements for energy conservation in the industrial sector
Module 3. Gender issues in the field of energy efficiency and conservation
Module 4. Current status of energy use, energy efficiency and conservation potential in industrial sectors in Vietnam
Module 5. Concepts, requirements for energy management, energy management systems
Module 6. Establishing and applying appropriate energy management systems in enterprises
Module 7. Introduction to typical technological chain characteristics in industrial sectors
Module 8. Typical energy efficiency and conservation opportunities in industrial production chains
Module 9. Some typical practical studies on energy conservation in industrial sectors
Module 10. Energy efficiency and conservation in lighting systems
Module 11. Energy efficiency and conservation in electrical systems and electric motors in industries
Module 12. Using energy efficiency and conservation in industrial pump and fan compressor systems
Module 13. Using energy efficiency and conservation in thermal equipment systems in industries
Module 14. Using energy efficiency and conservation in refrigeration and air conditioning systems in industries
Module 15. General information and characteristics of renewable energy
Module 16. Solar energy for industrial enterprises
Module 17. General knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions, greenhouse gas emission requirements for enterprises
Module 18. Calculation and management of greenhouse gas emissions in the manufacturing sector in industries
Module 19. Concepts and indicators of economic and financial analysis of energy conservation projects
Module 20. Economic and financial analysis of some practical studies, and approaches VSUEE project funding

In particular, Modules 4, 7, 8, and 9 will be specifically designed for 8 industries, including: Beverages; Seafood; Textiles; Paper and pulp; Bricks and ceramics; Iron and steel; Cement; Plastics and other industries.
