Launching Nationwide Energy Saving Campaign in Response to Earth Hour 2025

On the morning of March 8, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) organized the Launching Ceremony and the Running Event "Nationwide Energy Saving in Response to Earth Hour 2025"
The Vietnam-Denmark Energy Partnership Program (DEPP), which is funded by the Danish Government, is implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade from 2017 to the end of June 2020 with a total ODA capital of DKK 21.6 million equivalent to USD 3.15 million. The DEPP's Agreement was signed between representatives of the two Governments of Vietnam and Denmark on December 21, 2017.

The Partnership for Market Readiness is internationally considered one of the effective tools to motivate all parties involved in greenhouse gas emission mitigation to change from voluntary actions such as NAMA (Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action) to mandatory mechanism when policies on taxes, fees, emission quota, carbon labeling, carbon footprint are developed in many countries in the world.

In Vietnam, the Energy Labeling Program was implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on a voluntary basis in 2008 and has been carried out on a mandatory basis since July 1, 2013.
