Within the framework of the Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Program Phase for the period 2019-2030 (VNEEP3), 2023 Energy Efficiency Awards in Industry - Construction and the 0'Highest Energy Efficiency Product Awards of 2023 are organized to recognize and honor businesses operating in the industrial production sector, as well as exemplary construction projects implementing energy-efficient solutions. The purpose is to create a positive social impact, contribute actively to the goals of socio-economic development, and promote sustainable development during the industrialization and modernization phases of the country. Simultaneously, it aims to encourage and stimulate businesses to implement advanced management solutions and technologies to bring high-performance, energy-efficient products to the market.
Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu - Deputy Head of Energy Conservation and Sustainable Development Department (MOIT) delivered the opening speech at the award ceremony.
In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu, Deputy Head of Energy Efficiency Steering Committee Office and deputy Head of Energy Conservation and Sustainable Development Department (MOIT), stated: "This is the fourth consecutive year the awards have been launched, becoming prestigious awards in the field of energy efficiency. The awards contribute to realizing the goal of achieving an 8-10% energy saving in the total national consumption for the period 2019-2030, while actively contributing to the socio-economic development goals and realizing Vietnam's commitment to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Just over 2 months after the launch, the awards have received the participation of nearly 100 enterprises, and buildings with more than 200 energy-saving solutions implemented. The organizers also received applications for 257 products and equipment competing for the Highest Energy Efficiency Product Award, including various types of products such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, electric fans, electric motors, residential and public lighting products, and steam boilers.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hiep, Chairman of the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Efficiency, made a statement evaluating the quality of the profiles participating in the awards.
The representative of VECEA, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hiep, who has been in charge of the awards in recent years, highly praised the quality of the profiles participating in this year's awards. Mr. Hiep stated, "With a large number of profiles participating in the awards, the Organizing Committee has classified and evaluated the profiles according to the established regulations and rules. In general, the profiles prepared by businesses are detailed, and clear, with many specific pieces of evidence. The members of the Judging Council have been fair and transparent in evaluating and selecting the most deserving units, products, and individuals to be honored at the award ceremony.

The award for the Highest Energy Efficiency Product includes 10 leading brands, with a total of 103 certified products. The certified products will be provided with a QR code attached to the highest energy label when circulated in the market. Additionally, product information will be available at https://tietkiemnangluong.com.vn/top-runner, making it convenient for consumers to identify and access information. 15 projects, spanning both new construction and renovation categories, have been selected to receive the Energy Efficiency in Construction Award for the year 2023.
12 industrial enterprises have been selected to receive the 2023 Energy Efficiency Award in Industry. The awards also honor 25 individuals who are energy management professionals with outstanding achievements in energy management at their respective enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hieu, Deputy General Director of Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte.Ltd., delivered a speech sharing the values and significance of the award.
According to the plan, the Organizing Committee will guide enterprises with outstanding solutions to submit their profiles for the ASEAN Energy Efficiency Award.
