List of Energy Efficiency Assessing and Labeling Items

On July 1, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1725/QD-BCT on the promulgation of the list of energy efficiency assessing and labeling items under the Ministry of Industry and Trade management and responsibility.
Accordingly, the list of items for energy efficiency testing and labeling under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Trade includes: fluorescent lamps, rice cookers, televisions, water heaters, air conditioners, refrigerators, electric fans, washing machines, photocopiers, printers, laptops, electric motors, industrial boilers, and more.
There are two types of energy labels: the recognition label (triangular shape) and the comparison label (ranging from 1 star to 5 stars).
The Ministry of Industry and Trade assigns the Department of Energy Saving and Sustainable Development to take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review, update, and publish the list of items for energy efficiency testing and labeling under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in accordance with state management requirements from time to time; to promptly provide guidance and resolve any issues or problems (if any) arising from specialized inspection activities related to the list.
