Efforts to adopt energy-saving solutions have enabled CPV Food to reduce its energy consumption by 28%. The company was awarded the second prize in the Energy Efficiency in Industry Award organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

CPV Food, located in the Becamex Binh Phuoc industrial park, began operations in 2020, focusing on meat processing and preservation. It is a part of a closed-loop 3F system (Feed, Farm, Food) that ensures traceability from feed production to the final product.
Adhering strictly to international standards like ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001, the company not only maintains quality and food safety but is also environmentally friendly, aiming for sustainable development.

Understanding the importance of energy usage for sustainable development, CPV Food continuously develops its energy program, primarily focusing on energy conservation and efficiency.
Since its inception, CPV Food has established an energy management model based on the ISO 50001:2018 standard, enabling control of losses and reducing energy consumption from machinery and equipment while still meeting production needs.
In 2022, the company conducted an energy audit which enhanced understanding and management of energy use and consumption in its operations. Based on the audit results, CPV Food implemented several energy efficiency improvements that enhanced its production processes.

Nguyen Hoang Thong, an energy management employee at CPV Food, shared that the company has implemented numerous projects and solutions for efficient energy use. One notable example is the installation of a Biogas system, covering over 800 square meters, to fuel the Boiler area in the Rendering workshop. "On average, more than 1500 cubic meters of wastewater are treated daily in the production process, providing a stable and abundant source of raw materials that allow the system to meet 40% of the FO oil used by the Rendering workshop," he noted.
To minimize heat loss to the environment, which impacts safety and increases ambient temperatures, the company has insulated over 100 pipe joints and connections around Boilers and Thermal oil systems. This solution helps save up to 12% of FO oil daily.
Pramarn Kulsutthichai, the Technical Director at CPV Food, introduced the insulation solution implemented in the Boiler systems.

In the production area, an energy audit revealed that a 75kW air compressor was running at no-load for 52.61% of the time, wasting electricity. The company installed a variable frequency drive on the air compressor to enhance its efficiency, reducing start-up currents, vibrations, and operating temperatures, thereby limiting CO2 emissions.
"With an initial investment of over 250 million VND, CPV Food now saves an average of over 1.3 million VND daily in electricity costs due to the air compressor's increased operational efficiency to over 80% from the previous 57%," added Thong.

In the processing and meat preservation operations, the refrigeration system accounts for more than 50% of the plant's total electricity costs. Hence, proper storage arrangement has been implemented to fully utilize storage space, reducing the use of cold storage and electricity consumption. Moreover, during the quick freezing process in the IQF system, the plant stops cooling 15 minutes before removing the products, which reduces electricity usage while maintaining product temperature.

All corridor lighting systems at CPV Food are equipped with motion sensors. For internal lighting, all lights are fitted with timers set to operate daily from 6 PM to 6 AM.
Alongside these cost-saving measures, the company conducts numerous internal environmental and energy communication activities monthly. It also fosters habits of using temperatures effectively in the workplace (25°C in all administrative and office areas). CPV Food is exploring signing agreements to implement other exemplary projects aimed at energy savings, such as installing rooftop solar systems and transitioning to environmentally friendly fuel sources like CNG gas.
The proactive investment and application of energy-saving solutions not only help CPV Food reduce production costs and enhance product quality but also minimize environmental pollution. This approach is seen as a sound investment, promoting sustainable development and enhancing the company's competitiveness in the market.
