On the morning of June 24, the International Exhibition of Energy and Environment Technology Hanoi 2026 (ENTECH HANOI 2026) officially opened.
ENTECH HANOI 2026 contributes to the development of the market for high-efficiency, energy-saving technologies and equipment, environmental pollution reduction solutions, and the advancement of the energy and environmental sectors.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luu, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, delivers the opening speech at the exhibition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Luu stated that, in implementing Politburo Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW dated August 20, 2025, on ensuring national energy security through 2030 with a vision toward 2045, the Hanoi Party Committee and the Hanoi People's Committee have issued implementation plans to translate the resolution’s objectives, tasks, and solutions into actions suited to the capital city's actual conditions.
As the nation’s political and administrative center and a key driver of economic development, Hanoi views green transition, energy transition, and low-carbon economic development as both an inevitable requirement and a critical driver for improving growth quality and economic competitiveness. The city is focusing on developing energy infrastructure in a comprehensive manner, ensuring energy security for socio-economic development, promoting energy efficiency and conservation, expanding renewable and new energy sources, and fulfilling its greenhouse gas emission reduction commitments.
“In 2026, Hanoi aims to achieve energy savings of 1.6%–1.8% compared to projected demand, reduce total electricity consumption by at least 3%, and cut electricity use by at least 10% during peak summer months. The city will also continue encouraging self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power systems and promote the application of advanced technologies in energy management and utilization,” he emphasized.

Mr. Truong Thanh Hoai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, participates in the opening ceremony of ENTECH HANOI 2026.
ENTECH HANOI 2026 features more than 250 exhibition booths from 200 domestic and international enterprises. Through a series of practical activities, the event is expected to further promote energy efficiency initiatives, enhance public awareness, support the development of energy and environmental technology policies, and strengthen the contribution of these sectors to socio-economic development. The exhibition also serves as a platform for expanding international cooperation in scientific research and technological development, facilitating technology transfer, attracting international investment, and supporting businesses in networking, investment promotion, technology exchange, and the adoption of advanced energy-saving and environmental protection technologies, thereby contributing to sustainable development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam Giang, Director of Innovation, Green Transition, and Industrial Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), introduces the Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Program Booth for the 2019–2030 period.
With the theme “Innovation – Green Transition,” ENTECH HANOI 2026 showcases technologies and solutions that integrate digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) into energy management and utilization. The exhibition also highlights new and renewable energy technologies, green energy transition solutions, energy storage technologies, and green transportation systems. A key event within the exhibition is the Vietnam Energy Transition Forum 2026, jointly organized by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Innovation, Green Transition and Industrial Promotion Agency (MOIT), and the Busan Metropolitan Government of the Republic of Korea.
The forum provides a platform for policymakers, experts, scientists, and businesses to discuss and share insights on: Global and Vietnamese energy transition trends and opportunities; Current and future energy policies of the Vietnamese Government; Opportunities and challenges for Hanoi in pursuing energy transition, green growth, and sustainable development; International and regional models and best practices in energy and green transition suitable for Hanoi’s development orientation; Business strategies for energy transition and technology development.
