Energy Saving from Technical Solutions to Operational Management

Dai Sy Technology Investment and Trading Co., Ltd. specializes in manufacturing lighting equipment and accessories, including urban, industrial, and residential lighting products. With more than 20 years of establishment and development, the company has produced and supplied a wide range of lighting products for both domestic and export markets.
From the very beginning of its establishment and operations, the company has paid great attention to energy conservation and has implemented many solutions that have delivered significant energy-saving results.
Mr. Nguyen The Khang, Director of Dai Sy Technology Investment and Trading Co., Ltd., stated that the company consistently focuses on investment, research, and the application of new technologies to optimize energy consumption, reduce production costs, and improve competitiveness.
The solution of installing variable frequency drives (VFDs) and control systems for cooling water motors in the heating system helped the company save 28,542 kWh per year. The investment cost was VND 80 million, with a payback period of 1.44 years. Similarly, the installation of a VFD for a 37 kW air compressor saved 33,650 kWh annually, with an investment cost of VND 100 million and a payback period of 1.5 years.

In the production workshops, the company replaced all fluorescent lights with LED lights, and in the public lighting area, all high-pressure sodium lamps were also replaced with energy-saving LED lights. This solution saves 56,893 kW/year, with an investment of 120 million VND and a payback period of 1.1 years.
Mr. Khang also stated that the efficiency of the central air conditioning system's outdoor units in the office and workshop areas has significantly increased. To avoid the situation where many air conditioner outdoor units stop working during peak summer heat, the company installed a water cooling pump system (misting system), which helps the central air conditioning system's outdoor units operate more stably and with higher cooling efficiency. According to calculations, the central air conditioning system saves 18,695 kWh/year, with an investment of 40 million VND and a payback period of 1.1 years.
"The solution of installing a misting system for the outdoor unit of a central air conditioning system is an innovative and unique idea at our company, which can be widely applied, especially to high-rise buildings using central air conditioning in Hanoi," Mr. Khang emphasized.
The company’s office has also been fully converted to LED lighting.
In addition, energy auditing has been carried out continuously and rigorously. In May 2025, the company conducted an energy audit implemented by the Hanoi Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion. Following the audit, Dai Sy Technology Investment and Trading Co., Ltd. gained a clearer understanding of its energy use and consumption patterns in production activities. This enabled the company to analyze, evaluate, and select technological solutions for more efficient and economical energy use.
Alongside technical solutions, the company has also emphasized internal management measures such as establishing an Energy Management Board; issuing regulations and guidelines related to energy-efficient equipment operation and use; and improving employee awareness regarding energy conservation and efficient energy use.
The Energy Management Board is responsible for developing operational regulations, preparing energy-saving and energy-efficiency plans, and organizing research and application of energy-saving solutions.
In addition, the company regularly organizes training courses on energy conservation and efficient energy use. At the same time, it sends staff members to participate in training programs and seminars on energy efficiency organized by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and Hanoi Power Corporation.
