In response to increasing demands for cost optimization and improved production efficiency, industrial enterprises has proactively implemented various energy efficiency solutions, contributing to enhanced competitiveness and sustainable development.
Astemo Phu Tho Co., Ltd. was established in 1996 and specializes in supplying motorcycle and automobile brake components for both the domestic market and export. Over the past 29 years, the company has continuously expanded and now operates three factories with 2,061 employees.
Mr. Kojiro Ito, General Director of Astemo Phu Tho Co., Ltd., stated: "To become a green manufacturing enterprise, each year we set targets to implement energy-saving initiatives, achieving at least a 2% reduction compared to the previous year. We also set an ambitious target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030."

Astemo Phu Tho covers a total area of more than 88,000 m², with factory systems and production lines operating continuously and consuming large amounts of electricity for casting, machining, assembly, and surface treatment processes.
Facing the challenge of efficient energy use, the company established an energy management team to develop operational regulations, energy efficiency plans, and research and apply energy-saving solutions across its operations.
Initially, the company focused on reviewing current energy usage, assessing equipment efficiency, and gradually implementing improvements such as: turning off electrical equipment when not in use; switching to energy-saving inverter-based equipment; optimizing operating modes of air conditioning systems and AHUs; using cameras to detect and fix compressed air leaks. Notably, reducing the operating frequency of paint booth exhaust fans from 50Hz to 40Hz helped cut electricity consumption by approximately 30%. The company also installed automatic power-off systems in break areas, shut down unnecessary electrical equipment, and lowered aluminum furnace temperatures during non-working days, resulting in significant energy savings.

Applying optimized operational solutions helps the company save energy.
Regarding clean energy development, Astemo Phu Tho completed the installation of a rooftop solar power system with a capacity of 1.850 MWp in January 2025. By January 2027, the total installed solar capacity is expected to exceed 3.000 MWp.

In addition to equipment investment, the company focuses on optimizing operating regimes through monitoring, periodic maintenance, and process improvements. Energy-saving solutions in lighting systems, equipment scheduling, and employee training on efficient energy use have been implemented in a coordinated manner. Raising awareness and responsibility among staff is considered a key factor in maintaining sustainable energy efficiency.
Astemo Phu Tho Co., Ltd. regards compliance with the Law on Using Energy Efficiency and Conservation as an essential part of its sustainable development strategy. The company not only fully complies with legal regulations but also proactively conducts periodic energy audits to evaluate and optimize operations. As a result, the company reduces production costs, improves resource efficiency, contributes to environmental protection, and responds to climate change. Compliance with the law reflects corporate responsibility toward the community and demonstrates a strong commitment to building a modern, green, and sustainable enterprise.

Astemo Phu Tho also implements various internal training programs to enhance employee awareness and responsibility.
Since 2005, the company has consistently applied emission reduction measures such as installing wastewater, dust, and exhaust gas treatment systems in compliance with current laws; conducting periodic inspections; reducing the volume of sludge after treatment; and minimizing oil-contaminated waste.
The systematic implementation of energy management and efficiency solutions has delivered clear results. As a result, Astemo Phu Tho Co., Ltd. was awarded Third Prize at the “Energy Efficiency in Industry Award 2025” organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Efficiency Science and Technology Association.
Thanks to the synchronized implementation of technical and management solutions, Astemo Phu Tho has gradually improved control over its energy consumption in production, achieving a 4.5% energy saving rate in 2025. This result reinforces the company’s commitment to transitioning toward a green and sustainable industrial production model.
